Internet ads, intellectual property and copyrights…

My husband and I operate a non-profit in the US and we had a website… we decided to let the website domain name go two years ago because it was more hassle than it was worth for us since we were having to code and update it ourselves…. last night I went on the internet and pulled up the old site.
I was SHOCKED to find out it is still up, with our non-profits name, our likenesses and images, our old contact information from two years ago, copywritten articles we published, the whole nine yards… and there are google banner ads all over the site.

Evaluating a race car sponsorship

THE QUESTION is how do we assign a value to all of these races and appearances? Do we attempt to calculate a cost per thousand over the course of the season? Do we market based upon expected impressions (including races, parades, radio and TV coverage)? Our goal is to sell a primary sponsorship for ~ $20k and a secondary sponsorship for the back third of the card for $12-15K, but this basically just covers the racing costs for the team for the year.

Best practices in translation?

Our website needs to have translated content, which we’re ready to add. I’ve seen large sites that simply translate everything into many languages (and have language choices in the nav somewhere), and I’ve seen sites that “localize” – provide translated content based on country (with countries or flags in the nav).
