Are you being regular in publishing on your site and across your social channels? Are you getting some traction from them? By traction I mean are you getting shares and comments?
Leave your own comments
You should always only publish content which your consumers will actually see value from. Still, your consumers may be shy and so we must break the ice with them, and for them, in interacting with your online posts.
If there is true value in the content your brand publishes, you as an individual (or others at your company) should comment them once in a while. Consistently commenting will look fishy to consumers, but once in a while, from a number of different people internally, will get the ball rolling.
Share with your own friends
If your brand shares relevant, entertaining and useful content on its social media accounts, then you personally should see value in them, and sometimes enough value to actually want to share it with your own friends and followers. Of course your personal friends likely know who you work for, but maybe they don’t follow your brand’s communication.
Sharing your brand’s communications extends its reach and helps shape, or reshape, the perception people have of it. People who really like your brand already follow it. What about everyone else? You have to get the message out there by all possible means which includes you personally sharing things.
Promotion starts at home
Many people believe you shouldn’t like or share your own social media posts. They say or believe it is too biased. Of course it is, and people already know it so it isn’t a surprise or concealed in any way. Those exposed to your likes, comments and shares will take them for what they are.
If you never share your brand’s communications, or comment on them, the road to rich and vibrant interactive communications will be very long. It’s your duty to do what you can to help it.
